Find Your Perfect Fit
Every Rare Jackets jacket is made to order in the size you select. Because your jacket is produced specifically for you, we do not offer size exchanges. Take five minutes to measure yourself correctly before placing your order. it makes all the difference.
How to Measure
Use a soft fabric measuring tape. Take measurements over a light shirt, not a heavy jumper. Keep the tape snug against the body without pulling it tight. If you are between sizes, size up. Leather has minimal stretch and shoulder fit cannot be adjusted after production.
Sizing Tips
If you are between sizes, always size up. Leather molds to your body over time but does not stretch significantly in width. A jacket that fits snugly at first will ease into your frame with regular wear. A jacket that is too small across the shoulders will never feel right.
If you are unsure about your measurements or need help selecting a size before ordering, contact us at info@rarejackets.com. We respond within one business day and would rather help you get the right size than have you receive a jacket that does not fit.
First Step Chest Measurement
Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your chest, just under your arms. Keep it level across your back. Do not pull the tape tight. You want the natural circumference, not a compressed measurement.
Second Step Waist Measurement
Measure around your natural waist, typically 1 to 2 inches above your navel at the narrowest point of your torso. Keep the tape parallel to the floor.
Third Step Shoulders Measurement
Place the tape flat across your upper back, from the edge of one shoulder to the other. This is your shoulder width. Shoulder fit is the most critical measurement for a leather jacket. It cannot be altered after the jacket is made.
Last Step Sleeve Length Measurement
Measure from the top of your shoulder down to your wrist bone with your arm slightly bent. Your jacket sleeve should end at the wrist, covering your watch but not your hand.
